Back to school in 2020 at SupOptique

Recruitment was a success with a class of 153 students, including 42 women and about twenty international students, all recruited at the best French and international level.

The adventure begins now, with the construction of an educational and professional path, meetings with classmates (perhaps the future co-founder of your start-up, perhaps your future colleague in a research laboratory!), or with inspiring teachers and researchers in one of the School's three laboratories, or even in the 503 - Espace entrepreneurial . Take advantage of the Optics Institute's exceptional pedago-system to discover, build, and initiate your project. The entire teaching and administrative team is there to accompany and help you.

A year that begins under the sign of adaptability since, like everywhere else, SupOptique had to adapt to the context related to the COVID-19 epidemic. This period was an opportunity to experiment with new teaching methods, and to prepare a "hybrid" back-to-school period in order to respect the rules of physical distance, while promoting the best possible interaction between students and professors. A balance between face-to-face and distance learning is favoured: lectures are preferably given at a distance, while tutorials and practical work are done in the classroom.

The students therefore made their return to school wearing masks and respecting the indispensable barrier gestures. And although the WEI had to be cancelled, the BDE was inventive and flexible enough to welcome the new class in a good mood. We would like to thank them for this!

Our priority for the times to come: to respect our educational commitment by ensuring an environment adapted to the sanitary context.

Together, let's remain vigilant - but don't let this prevent you from enjoying your SupOptic years!
